Notable Quotes

  • The relationship that you want to have with money that is going to provide the most prosperity, fruitfulness, abundance, ease, freedom and less stress with money is one where you're in touch with your money more often, where it doesn't feel bad to go in and review your money plan.

  • We intentionally use our money dates not to judge the past or each other, not to say what went wrong; we want to look at where we are and what we want from the next 90 days with any lessons we may have learned from the past.

  • The first thing on a money date is to come at it with a good attitude, and the way that I come at it with a good attitude is I have good thoughts about money dates.

  • When you have a larger amount of assets for your future, the goal is that those assets will eventually start to generate income for you in the future, so you don't have to trade your time for money. That's the path we're all following: We want to grow our net worth because when you grow your net worth, your assets are worth more than your liabilities.

  • There can be tensions around when we have limited resources, and we are trying to co-create a life together, and so the way that we handle that is we give ourselves the space to share what these desires are so I don't have to think that I don't get to be heard and the same goes for Craig.

  • Remember, your relationship to money dates is just your thoughts about it. So the way you think about money and the way that you think about your money partner is what will make these money dates a success or something very stressful, or something that you want to avoid and not do together.
